At the time, we had just moved into our new flat and put up some crane wallpaper, so this was definitely inspired by that.
What flavoured candle would you create if you could have any scent?
ok today is a bit of a rouge one. Part of the challenge is posting every day, right? Well today is a silly little doodle of a dragon friend. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll be back to our regular autumnal programming.
A word of warning, I will definitely be reusing the cupcake under drawing. It’s just so versatile!
for today, here’s our Halloween cupcakes. It is Bake Off season after all!
We’re keeping with the cosy theme. I’m always prone to wanting to add more and more details, but my partner prefers the simple, clean style, so this one is for him.
I actually recently converted him to being a slipper lover, although his don’t have ears.
This is another recreation of an old Inktober drawing from 2019, I’ve been enjoying doing that this year. Often Inktober sketches are done so quickly so it’s nice to give the designs a bit more love.
Fittingly, today was the first day that I wore a scarf so I felt very, very autumnal.
Another quick one today. I’ve been away all weekend seeing my lovely friends, so today Inktober is a simple pumpkin.
Today is a very quick sketch because I’ve got a full weekend planned, Here are three little pumpkin friends hanging out in the forest.
Everyone at work is planning on going to a pumpkin patch to choose their pumpkin. I’ve never been to one, but maybe this year?
We’re moving away from some spooky themes to slip into some small autumnal cosiness.
It took me about 3 attempts to finish a hot chocolate design. I don’t know why, I just couldn’t get it right, This one isn’t perfect but I think it’s the best of the attempts.
For the first time in a couple of days I had a bit more time to spend on today’s sketch. “Fall” made me think of autumn, although I never use the word ‘fall’ to describe this time of year (too American).
Last weekend I did a water colour painting of a photo I took last Autumn. I’ll do a post on it, but this is a sneak peak.
I’m wondering about adding pen details but I’m not sure whether it’ll go. Any thoughts appreciated! Today’s sketch is a version of that painting, since I love the original photo but didn’t have it saved to my phone to use as a reference. (In the grand tradition of Julia’s Inktober sketches, today’s is being done on the train home.) I’ll show it in another post with the completed painting though.
Happy weekend everyone!
