Can you believe Inktober is almost over for another year? Sometimes in the past Ive found it quite stressful, but this year has been a real joy. im fully ready to get straight into Christmas mode now though.
Ok so this one is a bit of an in-joke.
My partner and dad were being very unhelpful when I was asking what to draw next, and they were suggesting the most boring things that they can think of. so, here is the most boring thing that I could think of…a screw.
On top of everything else, we’ve moved into a grade 2 listed Victorian terrace.
It’s charming and quirky, but also dated and spider-filled. So we’ll be gradually doing it up over the next few months (…years).
I don’t have lots of impressive Instagrammable photos of it, mostly because we barely have any furniture, but I thought it would be fun to share the colour scheme of one of the rooms. The photo is edited to show the colour more accurately.
Well, quite a lot has happened hasn’t it? Lockdown, pandemic, global crisis…quite a lot really.
My partner and I left London before the lockdown as we were self-isolating and finding it far too difficult to both work from home in our tiny flat. We’re at my parent’s home in Suffolk with my brother and his girlfriend. We miss our little flat and our world together, but I’ve been so grateful to have a garden and outside space.
Truth be told, I’m finding the transition difficult. I worry about work and have been generally feeling quite anxious, which is resulting in over-working and finding it hard to set clear boundaries in the day-to-day.
