IpadArtChallenge Day 29

Challenges, Digital

In 2020 I realised I am way more of a perfectionist than I thought I was. The solution to that is to churn out as many happy digital birds as possible.

Day 26: A Sensational Secretary Bird.

I’m posting them over on my Instagram first (@artjmtinsta) so you can follow along there.

Inktober 2018 – Day Twenty Nine: Double

inktober

The next couple of days might be harder to finish my inktober, I’m in the middle of moving all of my stuff to the flat. I’ve DEFINITELY overpacked for one train journey.

Here’s Molly with a little puppy we met over the summer, and here’s the original picture:

My pens are running out but it’s gonna be a while before I can get another set. It’s quite exciting when you have a need to get new art stuff, otherwise I always feel like I can’t justify the money otherwise.

Inktober 2017 – Day 29: United

inktober, pen

I broke my nature themed Inktober today. Everything I could think of that was nature related to the prompt “united” was something I was too familiar with, and I wanted a challenge.

Last weekend (or the week before?) I got a post card book of Degas paintings, including Combing the Hair (1892).

I loved the movement in it, and thought that trying to get the proportions right with just pen would be good practise. You can see where I’ve tried to change things with the hands, but I’m happy with how it came out.
