Inktober 2018 – Day Thirty One: Slice

inktober

Final day! It’s a big it rushed but doesn’t matter, the whole challenge is done and dusted for another year.

I’m actually going to quite miss doing the challenge, that sense of achievement when at least one drawing a day is done you feel like you’ve always at least achieved that in the day.

    1. 100 days?! That’s a real challenge, but having done inktober for two years now I think I’d almost be ready to give it a go. Do you follow a prompt list? Or just create at least once a day?

      1. Indeed Julia! Thanks for your encouragement, as you said, it’s given me extra practice! I wanted to try Inktober last year and thought I might not finish it, and I was already set on to participate in NaNoWriMo, which had previously proven to be quite exhausting ( stress to keep up the pace played a major part in that). But now I just realised, it’s possible, and it raises teh self confident. How long have you been participating in Inktober?

      2. That’s great! I didn’t realise you also wrote, I’ll have to keep up with it. Only the last two years, but I felt it hard to get back in the swing of drawing regarly once inktober was finished so I want to really try again this year to stay actively creating. I tend to do better if there a challenge because then there’s a sense of accountability that isn’t there otherwise

      3. You just put your finger exctely on it, there is an accountability that is both inducing pressure and motivation. Thta’s why also I enrolled in NaNoWriMo 3yrs ago, and finished everytime. therein lies a sense of accomplishment taht is extremely satisfying, especially as there is nothing to gain except from an increased sense of self-confidence and fulfilment. And it’s a drive, as you said, to stay creative (or trying to!). What will be your creativity ainig at, after inktober? (and BTW congrats for haing done it several times too)

      4. Congrats on NaNoWriMo! I feel like that’d be harder than inktober. I’m really not sure, I ways find November/December hard because there are birthdays and Christmas. I’m trying to get into really good habits as I’ve recently changed jobs and moved so it’s a good time. I think little and often to begin with, though j might also try to make my mum a fuzzy felt advent calendar if I can get myself in gear
