Although I haven’t posted, I’ve done a bit of practising on my Surface but, nothing that I want to share. I know that’s kind of against the point of this blog (really it’s to track progress even when it feels like none is being made) but sometimes that’s the way it is. I’ll work on sharing more, even the things I’m not proud of.
To get back into the swing of things I wanted to do a quick sketch before work. Also part of my new year resolution of not waiting to do things.
I wanted to practise copying because I was getting frustrated with trying to produce anything original. When in doubt, go back to basics.

I couldn’t fit the whole sketch into my little notebook and I’m a little pressed for time, so this is the result of a half hour sketch between breakfast and driving to work:
