Today was a test of how quickly I could complete design. Here’s a simple acorn wallpaper created on my lunch break while sitting in the most glorious autumn sun.
Recently, I’ve been craving a cherry Bakewell. We did have our first mince pie this week (it’s definitely not too early) but i think it’s the icing of a Bakewell that’s really the thing I’m craving.
A few years ago, I started playing around with my teal copic markers and made some absinthe spoon designs. We’re going to Paris for my birthday next month (Covid permitting) so I’m getting in the Parisian spirit (pun intended) and reattempting the design.
we’ve been spending a lot of evenings at my parents because our bathroom is being renovated so we have needed to shower here.
they have a poster up from the Guggenheim museum which was the inspiration for today’s Inktober. Unfortunately I don’t think the ratio works with Instagram but I didn’t want to cut down the original.
so here is my Guggenheim Bilbeardie poster.
We’re revisiting the witchy halloween vibes again. I just can’t help myself when it comes to adding as many layers (and layer effects) as possible.
If you had a crystal ball what would you want to see?
Another redesign of a previous Inktober from 2019. The prompt word was “Enchanted”.
I would have loved to have added more and more detail but, as we know, part of doing a daily challenge is to embrace the imperfections and the simpler designs.
Alex and I recently saw Singing in the Rain live. It was absolutely amazing, and after being postponed for 2 years, it was definitely worth the wait. We’re seeing Hamilton soon, so in the spirit of live musicals, here’s a happy umbrella.
Yesterday we went to our local garden centre with it’s Christmas shop open, so I am fully in the Christmas spirit.
I’ve been enjoying this more simple, minimal style recently. Too soon for a few more Christmas designs?
Meet Casper! He’s the newest member of the Taylor family. Casper is named after the friendly ghost. He’s a Bearded Collie, he loves slippers and he’s about 12 weeks old.
At the time, we had just moved into our new flat and put up some crane wallpaper, so this was definitely inspired by that.
